Financial Donations

The Colchester Food Bank is a registered charity. Our legal name is "Colchester Community Support Society".

Your financial donation contributes to the purchase of food and supplies that directly benefit the families and individuals that require the services of the Colchester Food Bank. A financial donation allows us to purchase the items that may not have been supplied through food donations. 

The Colchester Food Bank has partnered with CanadaHelps.org to receive online donations.
  1. Make an online donation (see below) (Please note there is a small fee associated with online donations).
  2. Cheques may be made out to the "Colchester Community Support Society" and either mailed or dropped off to our location at 580 Prince Street, Truro, NS  B2N 1G5. 
  3. Cash donations may be accepted at our location at 580 Prince Street.

Items Needed:
  • Egg cartons, clean (our eggs come delivered in flats and need to be packaged for clients)
  • Reusable Bags
  • Canned milk
  • Lunch snacks for school children (i.e. granola bars, crackers etc)
  • Canned vegetables & soups
  • Pasta and pasta sauce
  • Canned sandwich meats
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Diapers
  • Dog & Cat food
  • Gluten free products
